What a lovely meal! It was our 3 year anniversary so they gave us sparkling wine to start. We got the beet, bacon, & goat cheese salad and crispy brussel sprouts to start. The salad was a little light on bacon, but otherwise delightful. The brussels were some of the best I'd had in a while.
For drinks I got something with vodka and blackberries that was moderately sweet and super refreshing. Then I got a spicy tequila drink and that thing had quite the kick, but I liked it.
For entrees I got Homage to the Pig and my partner got the confit duck leg. The presentation of both was very appealing and they tasted at least as good as they looked. The pig cheeks were melt in the mouth tender and the grits were a perfect texture.
I'm not a huge fan of duck or carrots but I still enjoyed the small amount of duck I had.
I gave the food and service 5s but feel justified going with a 4 overall due to atmosphere. The outside of the place is surrounded by planters full of dead plants. It was an odd esthetic choice.
Moral of the story, definitely eat here...just maybe do it inside.

This restaurant is amazing and a must go! We drive from Clayton and vote for them to open in our city!
This visit we had:
Cauliflower Flatbread — OMG Soooo good!
Lamp Chop Special: 4, 3oz lamb chops with a mushroom and potato hash, and on top of the lamb chops is drizzled with a pesto
vcvvWonderful bottle of Pinot Noir: c
We have also loved everything we’ve had in prior visits, like, Homage to the Pig is a must have - 16 ounces of grilled porterhouse chop, haw River mushrooms, sweet potato sauce, hash, terra stay Farms sautéed Swiss chard and bacon , lusty monks, mustard crema
Forgot to take a picture, but we also had a delicious dessert that we devoured … walnut banana poundcake topped with vanilla gelato and caramel drizzle!

Update: Still a delicious meal, one of the best kept secrets in Cary.
Can't believe it took us this long to try Maximilian's. I have always heard the food was good, I wasn't disappointed. My wife and I split the voodoo of the day and the Korean bbq. Both were excellent and generous portions. Heather, our waitress, was a pleasure to talk to and represented Maximilian's as a true professional. You don't need to go to Raleigh for a memorable meal.

We had a very rare date night here and had a fantastic time. We got the special (ribeye served with potatoes and green beans), the smoked trout appetizer and a couple of desserts (cheesecake and chocolate torte), along with a bottle of red wine. Everything was SO incredibly delicious, service was phenomenal, and when we had a question about wine the bartender (or manager?) came and discussed it with us. Highly recommend. 10/10

My husband and I went for restaurant week and the food was amazing! They were also very accommodating - we brought our 2 year old with us. It’s so nice to have a restaurant with quality food that is family friendly! We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere, service and friendly staff, and amazing food. We split the PEI mussels with house made bread (yes, they make everything in house with locally sourced ingredients!), crispy Brussel sprouts, Korean beef, and burrata pasta (with handmade fettuccine). They were kind enough to box up our desserts - highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back!
