Just arrived home after hosting a small group of friends for my 70th birthday. I had reservations at a downtown Raleigh restaurant but cancelled them because L32 is so much more convenient and the food is reliably good.
We arrived a little early and were shown to our table . When the rest of the group arrived we were served cocktails and ordered some shared appetizers.
We ordered food from the brunch and lunch menus and everything was on point. Service was great without any undue fussiness .
Our champagne was nicely served and we had some post meal cocktails.
Perfect afternoon
(The food prices are very reasonable given the food quality…our $30-$50 pp check was inclusive of several drinks each)

Went in expecting some amazing southern fare based on the glowing reviews, but we were disappointed. The pimento cheese was good, but the pork rinds were overcooked & hard. Bone in pork chop was good, however the Bacon wrapped meat loaf was a disaster - it was doughy & tasted mostly of bread crumbs & no meat. Got the fried chicken too which seemed slightly overcooked. We love cornbread & that excitement too was shortened as it turned out to be super hard & flavorless. Service was okay but the food could’ve been better. Overall not a great experience.

Real 5 Star reviews are rare, but I must say I had a great experience here! From the time I was greeted at the door to leaving, the service was excellent: attentive, but not overbearing. I ordered the truffle fries for an appetizer. Delicious! Since I was dining alone, the server noted that they did have a single size plate for less $. I ordered the regular size (enough for 3) as I wanted to take some home, but it was nice to have the option, rather than the server just going for the money. I ordered the Snappy Chicken sandwich with succotash, as I'm new to the area, and wanted truly Southern food. Delicious, also. And you won't leave here hungry. Highly recommended!

Service was excellent. Reasonable prices considering the quality of their food. My husband and I loved the music they were playing. We were pleasantly surprised how elegant and spacious it was on the inside. Even my 1 year old loved my bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. He went for the plate as soon as he saw it lol.

If the shrimp and grits is not award winning, its well on its way. Absolutely astonished by this dish. The wonderful blend of bold flavors, the consistency of the grits, the texture of the shrimp; perfection! The salmon cakes were delicious, but the shrimp and grits stole the show. Perfect dish for a cool night!
