This nonprofit is AMAZING!! I turned to dress for success after dropping out of nursing and switching to marketing/social media/graphic design. I needed some business suits for job interviews/networking events etc.
Making my appointment was very easy. When it was time for my fitting the day of the appointment, the dress for success employee that was assigned to me was super knowledgeable in picking out my suits (I chose to have two suits but they had other professional choices like dresses). She picked clothes that fit my body type extremely well that helped me feel confident (ex: picking business jackets that cover my hips since I’m insecure about them) and the colors she picked out fit me very well-I went with a “librarian” look that was overall professional, and a more colorful look that was made up of dark blue pants/salmon colored jacket/dark blue flats. She did a fantastic job picking out the salmon jacket (salmon that is too pink can make white people look washed out-it’s true!) and I was super impressed! I love picking between the suits knowing they look great in them which gives me confidence and allows me to follow through with being professional at any event or interview I am in.
Other things that were really great about the nonprofit – at the end of the session when you picked out your clothes, you were allowed to take home a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a brooch. I don’t have a picture of it but I picked out a really cute painters palette brooch to celebrate the artistic career I had always wanted and was entering. I also received a free goodie bag of hygiene products containing so many useful items-breath mints/hand lotion/chapstick/body soap/deodorant/toothbrush and toothpaste/face wash/tinted lip oil etc (photo below)! It was really amazing and overall I had such a great experience. This Dress For Success is awesome and I hope the staff here know that! You’re hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you for you’re hard work and dedication in helping me in my career and boosting my confidence!

My experience was everything the person that assisted me was very down to earth, laid back, outgoing, and fun. I have her the information she needed to assist me and she did a great job with dressing me for my interview, and getting me scrubs. Thanks Mrs Erika

Took some beautiful clothes on a day they were open. I got chewed out because I didn't check the website. They took them reluctantly, but were not nice at all. I won't be going back..

This is a great organization.
It helps women help themselves. Providing training in interview clothes without charge.
They help with Resumes, LinkedIn profiles, interview preps, and improving skills.
They also have quarterly boutique sales in both Raleigh and Durham that I go to. You can get it top brands at a reasonable price.
They also accept donations.

I enjoyed the quarterly sale they had and spent too much money (not really...there was a lot of great options, priced well). All the staff and volunteers were helpful and made my shopping fun! Will go again. They do a great service for women looking for career wear.
