Yummy. Got classic burger and breakfast, neither disappointed. Great atmosphere and frankly a smart idea to host a diner around a bunch of new beautiful cars inside a dealership. Particularly for a car-themed diner. Families, couples and employees came and went for food as I was here, all folks. Will go again. Also cool / novel for bringing friends to visit.

I’d heard good things about this diner located inside the Crossroads Ford dealership in Apex. Hearing about it is the main way the diner gets customers…through word of mouth.
“The” dish that is unique to the diner is the Trash Plate which is a staple in Rochester NY. I had never had one before so I didnt know what to expect. Turns out its a plate filled with cold macaroni salad (1/2) and fried potatoes (1/2) and on top of that is a hamburger. The hamburger is covered with what they call their signature “meat sauce”. And then the meat sauce is slathered with yellow mustard. Ok…so if the description was confusing….so was the meat sauce. Hmmm. I don’t think I’ve ever been for a lack of words or unable to describe a food or flavor…umm…it was minuscule bits of meat in a sauce that had a flavor that wasn’t identifiable. Imagine a beef chili with only meat and the meat being the size of a pin head, and there being more meat than sauce. That was served on top of the thinnest hamburger I have ever seen (best way to describe is 1/2 the thickness of a McDonald’s hamburger). The burger didn’t have flavor. The macaroni salad lacked flavor. The potatoes were good. I don’t understand the trash plate….
The person I was with had a BLT. Plain Jane, as basic as basic gets, with tater tots. The tots were good.

I had a solid pair of dogs from Mustang Charlie's today. It was my first time having Zweigle's hot dogs and I wasn't disappointed. The slaw was great, but the chili was decent. Overall a good hot dog.

What a nice surprise! We decided to try out this brunch place with another couple. Neither of us have been here before. It is literally inside of the Ford garage! Glad we looked that up ahead of time or else we would have been super lost (there was a sign in the grass when we pulled into the parking lot that did indicate the diner was nearby)... The restaurant was austere and streamlined, but this was actually a welcome atmosphere during Covid times because it makes cleaning so much easier. The bathrooms were in excellent shape and very tidy as well.
We all ordered something different, and were all extremely pleased with our meals! We got everything from Belgian waffles and pancakes, to breakfast tacos, to scrambled egg whites, to grits, to fruit bowls, to "trash" plates and home fries! The food was out quickly and everything was delicious and fresh (except the sausage links, they'd seen better days...). They even made a few modifications for me so I could make my meal a little healthier. 😊 This would be a great place for take away breakfast or lunch if you work nearby!
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the products they use are super bad for the environment. Even though we ate inside the restaurant, everything was served on non-recyclable plastic plates with one-time use plastic utensils, and all the drinks were in Styrofoam cups (which takes a minimum of 500 years to break down)! When we were done we had to throw everything away in a giant garbage can before leaving. 😬 During the two hours that we enjoyed our meal and coffees after, they actually had a good bit of traffic, especially for being in a pretty remote location, but all I could think about was how much waste is being produced there on a daily basis, which is especially shameful at a time when commercially compostable, easily recyclable, and generally more eco-friendly options are available. They did everything else so fantastically, so I hope they consider making some positive changes in this area because they are already so close to perfection!
PS- I also wanted to note that none of the staff (from cashier/waitress to chef) were wearing face masks, and we did not see any signs about hand washing for employees or guests in the bathrooms, and there was no hand sanitizer available anywhere, so not sure how high priority cleanliness is here... So just take that into consideration as well.
