Earlier this month, I went to Scratch Kitchen & Taproom with some friends. Overall, the place is pretty solid — cool vibe, good variety on the menu. We ordered a bunch of different stuff. I got the Korean buns for myself, but to be honest, they were way too greasy for my taste. I think they’re fried or dipped in oil or something, but when I was eating them, it just felt super heavy — greasy hands, greasy flavor, the whole deal.
So I’d probably give the place a 4 out of 5, but there was one thing that really bugged me. When we were ordering, we initially asked for the kids’ chicken tenders, but changed our mind and went with the kids’ burger instead. The server said no problem, and everything seemed fine.
When the check came, we were in a bit of a rush, so we just paid without looking too closely. I took a photo of the bill to split it later with the group, and that’s when I noticed they charged us for both the chicken tenders and the burger — even though we never got the tenders.
I reached out to the restaurant about it, but never heard back, which left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s not about the $8, it’s more about the situation — we clearly didn’t order or receive both, and it feels like they just ignored the message. Maybe the server was in a rush, or maybe it was just a slip-up, but still… no response kind of sucks.

First time dining here and it was wonderful! Our server was very attentive. We enjoyed the Jalapeno Margarita and the Ginger Lemon Mocktail. The Bulgolgi Egg rolls were recommended by our server for an app and we thoroughly enjoyed! The bibimbap bowl was good - would recommend asking for a second bowl to help you mix up all the flavors since it's filled to the brim. Lo Country Pad Thai was great!

I hadn’t been to Scratch Kitchen in several years and I was not disappointed! The service and food were phenomenal - and I love that they are one of the few downtown Cary locations with an actual dedicated parking lot.
I got one of the lunch specials, a Korean steak rice bowl, and it was so tasty and beautiful. Everything was cooked to perfection, the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and the sauce and seasoning were both great. I also had one of their Mason Jar beers which was tasty and cold!
The service was top notch - all servers and hosts were friendly and knowledgeable! The restaurant is super cute and I enjoyed the seating and large windows for a great view of the nice day.
I will absolutely be back again soon, especially when it gets a bit warmer to enjoy their outdoor patio again!

So glad we stumbled upon this one! It’s like good ‘ole Southern comfort food meets Asian fusion—like your grandma’s best friend is a 25-year-old NYC chef, and they threw a party! The food was incredible. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I settled for the coconut-crusted fried green tomato’s, Crispy Chicken sandwich, bacon-Brussel sprouts, and a Harvest salad with red wine poached Asian pears and feta fritters. Everything was incredible! Our waitress was nice, and the service was excellent. We can’t wait to try brunch!

Stopped here for a light lunch. Great place with a trendy vibe. We started with some spicy shrimp. We also had the Mac and cheese and the bibimbap. Service was great and the wait time was maybe 10 minutes.
