I called and scheduled an estimate for my crawl space. I met with Mark and he was very educational and thorough with the issues found and how it can be resolved. Mark kept open communication with me throughout the whole process. When the contractors arrived at my residence they got right to work. The communication was very open and I appreciated that the most. Overall, I am very pleased and so happy to have a safer and cleaner crawl space. Each employee was respectful and friendly. This company definitely exemplifies honesty and trust because it showed throughout the process and work. I am so thankful and grateful for this experience.

Jess W and Zack B just finished lifting a 6' x 8' concrete slab and stabilizing a much larger one that I hope will stop the leak that I am having in a basement wall. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and quite graciously willing to put up with me watching them do their work, which I found fascinating. If I ever need additional work done TarHeel is who I will call. I can't wait to powerwash once the caulk has dried.

Dishonest company.
Purchased a brand new sump including the battery backup and ongoing annual maintenance. After a rainfall our basement flooded with water clearly having come out of the sump pump, (the flood mitigation expert agreed). The light/warning noise on the backup battery also turned on to indicate that battery backup had been activated that evening. The technician that came the next day told us he thought management should cover the remediation expense and took pictures for the office as evidence of the flooding.
Took a few tries to get a call back, but finally got a manager to come look and hopefully cover (or at least partially cover) the water remediation costs. (Tyler actually claimed he had called back and left a voicemail despite no evidence of a missed call/VM on our phones). Manager refused to compensate anything because at that point in time, the sump pump appeared to be working to him. He gave me the analogy that "tires don't work 100 percent of the time." He mentioned some sort of electrical failure seemed a possible culprit, to which I countered I thought that was the whole point of them installing the battery backup. He became quite condescending in our exchange, voices were raised on both sides, and the conversation ended with him simply walking out and driving away with the issue unresolved.
I should add, during annual maintenance inspection they have continuously try to sell us on $10,000 of additional crawlspace encapsulation, we had another company take a look who told us the work was completely unnecessary for our home.
Looks like after all this money to Tar Heel Basement Solutions to make sure there is no flooding in the basement, I am also stuck with the mitigation bill for flooding in our basement, as well as now having to find a new company that can actually ensure their systems to prevent basement flooding systems work... "100 percent of the time."
Highly recommend finding another company for your "waterproofing" needs.

***UPDATE***
I called this company because I was seeing problems where my floors showing signs of warping so to speak and some cracks in the walls. It has some areas that were dropping and the supports needed to be replaced. The company sent an inspector that generated a long list of problems that he found and needed to be fixed. After doing some research, I decided to hire this company to correct the issues they found under the house. After the work was done, I found a place in one of the bedrooms that was worse. I had never noticed a problem in this area before. This also is an area where they had to replace a few joists and remove some previous repairs. The pictures are included here of the damage now and their work form. The circled part is where the problem is and as you can see where they did a lot of work. But they say this isn't their problem.
After a month of trying to get someone to come back to find the problem and correct it, they finally sent another inspector who told me he didn't see anything that they had done would be causing the problem. His theory was an existing beam must be failing. It would cost more than the nearly $30000 I had already paid, and he would send me the info on what the cost would be. It's now another month later and I haven't heard from anyone. I have spent way too much of my time trying to get someone to take care of this.
It's amazing to me that the first inspector and the crew that was under my house for a week didn't notice an "additional failing beam". That is what I called them for, to correct any issues with the support under the house. This company obviously only cares about getting your money and does not care about their customers at all. I'm a single mom who also takes care of my own mom and $30000 is a lot of money to me that I invested to try to take care of our home. I would not recommend them to anyone, and I plan to tell this story everywhere I can so more people can me warned.
The crew who did the work were so nice and appeared to care about what they were doing, but it seems I was fooled. As you can see from my earlier review I believed everything was going great and if there were any problems they would take care of them like they told me. That was just another of their lies.
The team did an amazing job. Nick, Javona and Yair are a dream team. Nick kept me informed every step of the way and the job turned our great. They were professional and seem to really care.

Great Afternoon, and our team Leonard, Mekhi, and Kevin: were great and professional in completing our crawlspace and installing all equipment for humidification, etc. Leonard, kept my husband abreast each day on the step by step servicing. We appreciated the communication on such a large job and it truly eased our concerns. Thank you so much and I would highly recommend Tar Heel Basement and this team of installers too :)
